DR. MARK RANDALL
Luethar brings rare and exceptional academic, athletic, applied-clinical, experiential qualifications to the optimal performance discipline.
At the core of his specialized Behavioral Medicine, Sport Psychology and Exercise Physiology training are integrated foundational interdisciplinary capabilities for interfacing biological, behavioral, psychological, exercise and social science, relevant to one’s optimal wellbeing, and ultimately sustained personal optimal performance.
Intentionally unaware to most, Luethar has been the primary architect of some of the most “cellar to summit' successful division one collegiate men’s and women’s teams both on and off the surface of play. Luethar has directly worked with scores of collegiate athletes and coaches who have achieved the highest levels of professionalism, athletic prowess, while winning multiple league, regional, division, and national titles.
A significant highlight of Luethar’s comprehensive multifaceted professional career was working with the Department of Defense, US Army, 10th Mountain Division, Ft Drum NY.
Luethar specifically served as an embedded clinician within “The Warrior Transition Unit” and in a mobile “mental health triage surge” capacity subsequently being awarded two letters of commendation for “high standards, competence, reflecting great credit upon himself, the Army Medical Command, and the United States Army.”
In conjunction with these extensive professional and academic accomplishments, Luethar was a high performing athlete as a junior college 1st team All American, Junior College National Title winner, Division One Athlete, Coach award recipient, and played three years of professional hockey in North America as well as Europe.
Luethar decidedly understands the physical, psychological, and social requirements of attaining optimal performance in and outside a specific athletic tactical setting.
